AM wins five Eventex Awards 2023

For Barry Callebaut’s Second Generation Chocolate

Amsterdam, 17 May 2023 - AM has won five 2023 Eventex Awards. The international public relations agency received one platinum for Hybrid event, three gold for B2B event, Event Storytelling and Brand Experience - Food & Beverages and one silver for Product Launch.

All five awards were for the hybrid launch event Second Generation Chocolate, by the leading chocolate manufacturer Barry Callebaut. The jury report praised the concept for its "well thought-out strategy and creative execution". Luc de Boer, Founder and PR Director at AM, said: "This event is the perfect example of how new events should be executed. When we create a solid storytelling to involve those who attend physically, but also to surprise those who attend online, the results - awards or media hits - are guaranteed. The recognition is a wonderful culmination of our work”.

AM was nominated in five categories and won awards in all of them:

  • Platinum - Hybrid Event (Barry Callebaut)

  • Gold - B2B Event (Barry Callebaut)

  • Gold - Brand Experience - Food & Beverages (Barry Callebaut)

  • Gold - Event Storytelling (Barry Callebaut)

  • Silver - Product Launch (Barry Callebaut)

Second Generation Chocolate

For Swiss company Barry Callebaut, a leading global producer of chocolate and cocoa, a hybrid format for events has become increasingly important. Barry Callebaut's request was to introduce their innovation - the second generation chocolate, 150 years after the introduction of the first generation - to the world. “The hybrid event was perfect to have more media attending to the event, since we give them the opportunity to join remotely and have great experience”, says Luc.

AM set up exclusives, and 30+ journalists attended the event physically and remotely, which led to more than 150 publications with a reach exceeding 400 million. The live broadcast had over 4,500 viewers.
