smeGo appoints Schavemaker as Operations & Recovery Manager Netherlands
Daan Schavemaker has started as Operations & Recovery Manager for the Netherlands at the pan-European financial services platform smeGo. The fintech company founded in 2016 focusses on established SMEs struggling to obtain financing. With Schavemaker's arrival, the Dutch team now consists of six employees.
Since its launch last year, the Dutch branch has experienced significant first-quarter growth of 44% in portfolio size. The company is also pleased to report a doubling in the number of incoming funding applications in the Netherlands, which has also led to the growth of the Dutch team.
Appointment of Operations & Recovery Manager for the Netherlands
Daan Schavemaker has worked in various roles in financial services since 2015, including as an advisor at ABN Amro, a credit analyst at RCI Financial Services, and most recently as an underwriter at fintech Capital Box Netherlands. Schavemaker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration.

In collaboration with their 150 Dutch affiliate partners, including Credion, Financieringsgilde, and Capitalize2day, the Dutch smeGo team has funded 15 million euros in less than a year through business loans, flexible credit lines, and factoring.
Besides the Netherlands, the company also operates in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.
